I don’t know if I can properly articulate how much I love this book. First you have my kryptonite of book boyfriends, a grumpy, grumbly guy who has the biggest heart and is completely head over heels for the FMC. What makes him even better is that he’s shy and awkward most of the time, but behind closed doors he’s bossy and dirty in the best possible way. Next, the characters in this book feel very real. The vulnerabilities they have, the issues they are dealing with, their experiences. They are so relatable. You feel like you want to be their friend and be a part of this little town. The cherry on top was a sassy six year old who cusses like a sailor..or rather a pirate. Noah and Shay are amazing, but adding Gennie into the mix makes this perfect.

This story is beautiful and heartwarming. It is funny and spicy. It is emotional and entertaining. It felt like a winding country road where you were never quite sure where it was going to take you, but you knew it was going to be a beautiful ride.

If you’ve never read this author then you need to read this book now. Kate Canterbary is one of the best when it comes to complex characters that are relatable and believable. She is also the queen of grumpy guys. If you’ve been a long time fan, Jam Man is more than we could’ve ever dreamed he could be.
