New Release and Review: Royally Pucked by Pippa Grant

Title: Royally Pucked
Author: Pippa Grant
Genre: Sexy Romantic Comedy
 Release Date: April 6, 2018
Blurb
A hockey-playing prince, a most improper lady, and one accidental pregnancy…
When you’re an heir so spare that getting attacked by a shark is more likely than you ever wearing the crown, you’re only allowed certain liberties. Yet still, those liberties can bite you in the ass.
Good thing I’m such a charming devil.
Even then, I’ve been banished to America for a year under the pretense of playing professional hockey while my father cleans up my latest mess. But trouble follows me wherever I go. Generally trouble of the beautiful female variety, and Gracie Diamonte is no exception. Or possibly, she’s the best exception.
Until the dinosaur suit. The cookie incident. And the accidental pregnancy.
Of course I’ll do the right thing.

Just as soon as I solve that pesky problem of my royal betrothal.

I’m about to be the biggest scandal to rock my country and there’s a good chance my father may throw me to the sharks after all. The funny thing is I’ve heard that raising children may not be so different from swimming with the sharks. So no matter how you look at things I am Royally Pucked.

Royally Pucked is a hilariously wrong romance between a spare heir and the lady least likely to ever wear a princess crown, complete with dirty cookies, an emotional support monkey, and lots of pucking around. This romantic comedy stands alone with no cheating, cliffhangers and ends happily with a family of… more than two.

Review

Where, oh, where to start with this review. OK..let’s get some basics out of the way. This is a complete stand alone. If you’ve read any of Pippa’s other books you know the characters, but each book is a complete stand alone and just interconnected characters. This book at its core is an accidental pregnancy story. I’ve never been a fan of the accidental pregnancy genre, but I’ve loved all of her other books so I had faith and jumped in. This book does not disappoint.

If you are new to Pippa Grant, she is hilarious, outrageous and quirky. Her books have mayhem, shenanigans, and outrageous antics. You will be laughing out loud and getting the side eye from those around you when you read one of her books. Her books are crazy, ridiculous, and absolutely amazing. Even with all the ridiculousness, there is a sweetness to her characters and a sexiness that will get you hot and bothered.

I think one of the things I love about Pippa is that she’s not afraid of being ridiculous and crazy. There is a saying in the South that we don’t hide our crazy, we parade it on the front porch and give it a cocktail. That’s how I feel about a Pippa Grant book. Parading the crazy with a cocktail in this book is the BEST experience. If you gave me one of her books but didn’t tell me who wrote it, I would know within pages. This author excels with this type of romantic comedy.

Not only does she make you love the main characters and root for their HEA, but she makes you want to know the story of her secondary characters. Even characters that talk very little. I’m on the edge of my seat waiting for Ares’ story. I’m also in the market for dirty cookies and an emotional support monkey. I cannot recommend this author or this book enough. I give out very few 5 stars, but Pippa Grant gets 5 stars from me every time! If you want a really good, light, hilarious, romantic comedy then definitely check out this book!

Author Bio
Pippa Grant is a stay-at-home mom and housewife who loves to escape into sexy, funny stories way more than she likes perpetually cleaning toothpaste out of sinks and off toilet handles. When she’s not reading, writing, sleeping, or trying to prepare her adorable demon spawn to be productive members of society, she’s fantasizing about chocolate chip cookies.
